Cameron Diaz is an American actress who ranks second of there Hollywood heroines after Julia Roberts and Reese Witherspoon to enter the coveted $20 Million Club after she received her payment for Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. Born to factory foreman Emilio Diaz and import-export agent Billie, Cameron Michelle Diaz appeared on the small screen as fashion model at the age of 17.
Cameron Diaz made film debut in a lead role of The Mask in 1994. Over the next three years she got roles in low-budget films such as The Last Supper, Feeling Minnesota and She’s the One. She returned to mainstream films with major success in My Best Friend’s Wedding giving her ALMA Award in 1997 and There’s Something About Mary winning American Comedy Award, NYFCC Award and MTV Movie Award in 1998. For Being John Malkovich, she was nominated as Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes, BAFTA Awards and OFCC Awards and SAG Awards in 1999.During 1999-2000, Cameron Diaz starred in hit films Things You Can Tell, Just by Looking at Her, A Life Less Ordinary, Any Given Sunday and Charlie’s Angels. She won Blockbuster Entertainment Award and MTV Movie Award for Charlie’s Angel and ALMA Award for Any Given Sunday. In 2001 Cameron Diaz won nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards and AFI Awards for Vanilla Sky. She was nominated for Blimp Award four times.
She also voiced Princess Fiona in Shrek for which she earned $10 million. In 2003, Cameron Diaz received another Golden Globe nominations for Gangs of New York. She became the second actress after Julia Roberts to won her Imagen earn $ 20 million for a role in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, which won her Imagen Award in 2004.
After Full Throttle, she appeared in only three films Shrek 2, In Her Shoes and The Holiday. She was nominated for Imagen Award for In Her Shoes in 2005 and ALMA Award for the Holiday in 2007. Cameron Diaz was also nominated as Best International Actress for Audience Awards for Shrek 2.
