Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,Madhur Bhandarkar and Ronnie Screwvala launched the first look of their upcoming movie Heroine at the 64th Cannes International Film Festival. The movie takes a hard-hitting look at the life of an actress in Bollywood. This will be Ash's first venture with Madhur Bhandarkar, who has made award-winning films such as Chandni Bar, Satta, Page 3 and Fashion. Ash will play the role of a superstar in the movie.Ash said, "Madhur has been speaking to me for many years to collaborate on a film and I am glad we are finally working together in Heroine. He is the director of multiple award-winning films in India and hence, as an actor I'm certainly looking forward to this experience." She also added, "Heroine is a film that the team was very excited about and yes I have just agreed to come on board. This new venture certainly looks like a strong creative synergy and I look forward to this new journey in film."
The film will delve into the scandalous lives of the film industry's elite, the reality amidst the glitz and glamour. The film's shooting will start next month. Ash insisted that Heroine is not an autobiography.
